FAEMSE News Release

FAEMSE EMS Educators Awards

The Florida Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators (FAEMSE), in cooperation with our corporate sponsors and supporters, wish to recognize those involved in the EMS educational process that exemplify excellence in EMS education in the State of Florida. These awards will be presented for the first time at the FAMESE meeting the week of CLINCON 1999. This recognition will become an annual event and presentations will take place at the same time each year. FAEMSE will make the following award presentations:

  • EMS Education Program Director of the Year
  • EMT-Basic Instructor of the Year
  • Paramedic Instructor of the Year
  • Preceptor of the Year
  • EMS Continuing Education Instructor of the Year

Each award recipient will receive a plaque commemorating their recognition and a cash award of $500.00. The presentations will be made at a special reception immediately following the FAEMSE General Meeting.

Please complete the following information and submit the application form along with the following to be received no later than June 15, 1999:

  • A letter of recommendation from the nominee's Medical Director or a physician connected with the nominees system/program and familiar with the nominee's professional background/experience
  • A letter of recommendation from the nominee's immediate superior
  • A detailed resume from the nominee that focuses on the nominee's EMS education background
  • Names of local newspapers to which nominee wishes press releases sent following receipt of award
  • All of the above submitted with a completed copy of the award application form available for download here.
